Passenger Assistance Safety and Sensitivity (PASS) Train-the-Trainer Workshop
The Connecticut RTAP's PASS Train-the-Trainer workshop, provided by CTAA, is an intensive two-day program aimed at empowering participants with the necessary skills to instruct community transportation drivers in passenger assistance, safety, and sensitivity. This workshop ensures an engaging and interactive learning environment. Attendees will gain expertise in various critical areas, including effective communication with passengers, instructor conduct, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Upon successful completion of the workshop and a certification exam, participants will become certified PASS trainers. This certification enables them to disseminate their knowledge and train drivers across Connecticut, thereby enhancing the quality and sensitivity of community transportation services.
Please be aware: There is a limit of 20 participants, so registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline for 5311 recipients to register is 10/23, after which registration will be available to all districts until 11/15.
Participants must complete two complimentary online courses that will be provided upon registration for the workshop.
